Christchurch Netball is the largest netball centre in New Zealand catering for netball players in and around the city. All 40 courts are situated in Hagley Park.
It is estimated some 6000 players, parents and supporters, coaches, administrators and umpires pass through the Netball Centre each Saturday. The strength in this large netball centre is the fact that ALL games are played at the one central city site.

New World Loves Netball
New World is a significant supporter, helper and "fan" of the Christchurch Netball Centre. In return Christchurch Netball Centre and its players, coaches, umpires, selectors and administrators will endeavour to foster a positive attitude and loyalty towards the 7 New World Stores in Christchurch, being: Belfast, Bishopdale, Fendalton, Redcliffs, Stanmore, St Martins and South City. In particular, the U11, U12, U13, U14 and U15 grades will be supplied with 10 vouchers per week for the Fair Play Player of the day in each of the selected 10 teams.
New World are the proud sponsors of the Premier 2 grade now known as the New World Grade.

CONGRATULATIONS....
to Christchurch Netball Centre Development Squad Umpires who officiated at SI Secondary Schools tournament in Blenheim. 7 young and talented umpires in a squad ranging in age from 17-18 were commended on their skills and abilities by NNZ panel members present. Grace Grocott, Brittany Stodart, Rebecca Reside, Seonaid Palmer, Annabel Ferguson-Phillips, Nicole Mesman and Anthony Bykerk gained a lot of experience from the tournament as well as support and guidance from their coach Jane Hickmott.
Congratulations to Brittany Stodart, Seonaid Palmer and Anthony Bykerk who were named in the NNZ Umpire Talent ID Squad (only 5 Secondary School Student Umpires named from the 28 eligible umpires in attendance). Seonaid and Anthony also passed their Regional examinations during tournament week.
Congratulations also to Rangi Ruru for being 3rd at tournament now progressing to NZ National Secondary Schools tournament in October. Other Christchurch A grade teams in finishing order are Burnside High School 6th, St Margarets 10th, Villa Maria 11th, Marian College 13th, Christchurch Girls 18th, Avonside GHS 17th and Cashmere HS 32nd.

Club representatives may be given the opportunity to present their topics if time presents.
