Game Officials Committee - Umpires & Bench Officials

  

Game Officials Committee Members            

Game Officials Committee is Anne Harrison, Margaret Marsh, Pam Ormandy.  Robyn Daly is the GOC representative on Christchurch Netball Centre Board.
The Committee is supported by the Game officials Administrator/Umpire Allocator Kellie Lightfoot who can be contacted on 379 4489 option 3 or 021 999 549 or umpireschch@xtra.co.nz.

Applications are invited from persons interested in being appointed to the Christchurch Netball Centre Game Officials Committee. There  are currently  up to 3 vacancies on the committee for 2012.

Nominations are invited from individuals, or clubs supporting an individual who should be able to demonstrate

their  specific expertise and skills relevant to a netball committee or sports organisation and have had:   

          Previous experience working as a volunteer;

  • Commitment  to working towards a common goal;
  • Ability to be influential, innovative, decisive and think ‘outside the square’

Congratulations :

to Anthony Bykerk and Sarah Higgins who have been selected for the National Under 19 Umpire Squad.

to Anna Sheen who has been selected in in the National A umpires squad and to Michael Wyllie who has been selected in the National Development squad.  Also to Laura Hayes who has been upgraded to NZ A.

to Christchurch Umpires who have sat and passed Netball New Zealand Theory Exam - Sarah Higgins, Jennifer Lloyd and Rebecca Reside. Special accolade to Jennifer who scored 59.5 top equal in New Zealand.

 

Umpiring Times

Umpires Licence and Local Centre theory

UMPIRES LICENCE

Teams in 3rd and 4th grade and Under 17 grade are required to complete the Umpires Licence test. 

Clubs must submit completed papers to the CNC office prior to completion of Round 1 games.  Players who hold a NNZ Local Centre Theory qualification are exempt from completing the Umpires Licence.

The umpires Licence test must be completed every year.

LOCAL CENTRE THEORY

All players in Premier, Senior, Senior Reserve, Under 19 and 2nd grade teams will be required to sit and pass the NNZ Local Centre Theory examination prior to the first competition game.

The Local Centre Theory exam must be completed every 3 years.

If you have yet to sit your Local Centre Theory exam you can do this on Saturday 10am-12pm CNC Hagley lounge (1st floor)

Players please familiarise yourself with the exams before you attend.
