Wednesday night update (14.11.22)

Please note the following updates which apply to Wednesday nights.

Walking Netball:
We have enjoyed offering walking netball the last 4 weeks on Wednesday evenings at Christchurch Netball Centre. At this time, we have made the decision to conclude this programme due to attendance levels, however we will look at reinstating this during Summer in Term 1 next year.

No Limits Netball:
The No Limits Netball pilot has concluded and has been a resounding success, and will restart in Term 1.

Enriching the lives of our netball community and igniting a lifelong love of netball.

Safety reminders

Club Personnel including committee members, umpires, coaches and players are reminded that persons with bicycles, prams, pushchairs, skates, skateboards, rollerblades, scooters or dogs may be asked to remove them from between the courts while games are in progress.  Spectators are requested in the interests of player and umpire safety, not to bring dogs to the netball courts during the playing season.

Lost property

Please come to the window on game days to enquire about lost property. The feedback email address is for feedback only.

Hagley Park Parking - Notice from Sport Liaison

As users of Hagley Park we are reminded of the need to comply with parking rules and regulations:

  • Hagley park is an extremely busy area especially on a Saturday morning. We encourage full care to be taken getting to and from the park. There are a number of designated crossings around the park which should be used and allowing more time to travel and along with supervision and using appropriate footwear for the walk should alleviate any issues of crossing roads.
  • Parking on the grass berms has never been allowed and has previously been enforced with ticketing. There is very clear signage now and we strongly advise against parking on these areas. A major factor for this is cars backing out onto the roads being very hazardous and has created some serious issues in the past.
  • Warnings have been issued by Parking Enforcement and records of registrations have been made. If there are repeat offenders, they risk being ticketed.
