Summer Netball

Summer Netball at Hagley Park runs in both October-December and in February-March on a Wednesday night from 6.15pm (and 7.15pm if two rounds needed) for seniors (under 15 and above) and 5.15pm for juniors (year 3/4, year 5/6 and year 7/8). 

Summer Netball is open to all current and new teams/players. Grades available* for Womens Social & Competitive, Mixed, Men's Social, Walking Netball, Senior Secondary Fast5, Mixed Fast5, Under 17, Under 15, Year 7-8 and Junior teams and No Limits Netball (new to netball and those with disabilities). * Entries permitting

Individual registrations are welcome and we will place you in a team!

Summer Netball runs from Wednesday 8 February to Wednesday 29 March:

  • Mixed Grade (7-aside netball)
  • Women’s Social (7-aside netball)
  • Men’s Social (7-aside netball or Fast 5 netball)
  • Women’s Competitive
  • Walking Netball (18+)
  • Mixed Fast 5 (girls and boys 13-18 years)
  • Girls or Boys Fast 5 (13-18 years)
  • U17 (7-aside netball)
  • U15 (7-aside netball)
  • Year 7-8 (7-aside netball)
  • Year 5-6 (6-aside netball)
  • Year 3-4 (5-aside netball)
  • No Limits Netball (Under 18 – skills and netball activities for people with disabilities or new to netball)

FEES

  • Mixed Grade, Women's Social, Men's Social and Women's Competitive - $280.00 per team
  • Mixed and Girls or Boys Fast5 - $180.00 per team
  • U17 and U15 - $180.00 per team
  • Year 7-8 - $140.00 per team
  • Year 5-6 - $120.00 per team
  • Year 3-4 - $100.00 per team

Fees for individual entry are as follows:

  • No Limits Netball - No fee
  • Individual Mixed, Men’s, Women’s grades - $40.00
  • Individual Fast 5, U17, U15 grades - $30.00
  • Individual Walking Netball - $30.00
  • Individual Year 7-8, Year 5-6, Year 3-4 grades​​​​​​​ - $20.00

Rules for Walking Netball and Fast5

Walking Netball Rules:

  • Participants must be 18 years of age.
  • Each team must supply their own umpire/bids and ball.
  • No running or jumping.
  • One foot must be on the ground at all times.
  • Player can hold the ball for up to 4 seconds.
  • Maximum of three males on courts at any one time (per team) – one in the defensive circle area, one in the mid-court and one in the shooting circle area.
  • All other standard netball rules apply.
  • 4 x 10min quarters.

Fast5 Rules:

  • 4 x 10 min quarters.
  • Five Playing Positions (GS,GA,C,GD,GK) – there will be no WA or WD.
  • Rolling substitutions are allowed which means a change can take place at any stage of the game from a designated area for both teams. Player must be off the court before the next player can run on.
  • Maximum of three males on courts at any one time (per team) – one in the defensive circle area, one in the mid-court and one in the shooting circle area.
  • 2 Scoring options – 1 point inside the circle / Super Shot – 3 points outside the circle.
  • Each team must supply their own umpire/bibs and ball.
  • All other standard netball rules apply.
