Uniforms for 2021 and changes to other competition policies


Uniforms

A reminder that changes have been made to uniform requirements from 2021.

Please find below the information from CNC's Competition Policies 2021:

66. All players must wear registered club uniform. A variation to club uniform colours may be made by the use of a black skirt, shorts or leggings is permitted, as is any combination within the team. School teams may wear their PE uniform of shorts and a top. Clothing must be safe to play in and excludes hoodies, buttons and zips. Sports shoes to be worn.

67. Where teams with similar uniforms are drawn to play against each other it is the umpires discretion whether an alternative bib will be worn. A coin toss will determine which team will wear the alternate bibs. Alternate bibs are available from the Competitionsoffice.

68. In cases of religious or cultural requirements, notification should be made to CNC for any exceptions to the team uniform requirements.

69. Jewellery, adornment or body piercing may NOT be worn at any time while oncourt.

70. A wedding ring and/or medical alert bracelet may be worn, only if either or both are fully taped to the body. Cultural necklaces may be worn, at the players own risk, only if all parts are wholly taped to the body.

71. Fingernails must be short and smooth and are required to be checked by the umpires prior to the commencement of each game.

72. All players in the team must wear the same team bibs.

73. Bibs are permitted to display the club name and/or sponsor which shall not exceed 64cm² in area and may be used once on any one garment. Bibs, whether one or two pieces, are considered to be one garment.

Other changes

  • Clearance forms are no longer required – clubs need to advise the Centre of unfinancial members
  • Players in closed grades may play up a maximum of 12 quarters.
