It’s been an exciting week project-wise, as both ECAN and building consents have been approved. This means that construction will start to take place and we will see progress fast!
It’s certainly been a long road to get this far and we are grateful for so many people and organisations that have put their effort into this project. We continue to liaise with Ngā Puna Wai and ensure that we can work with its partners to increase recreation and activity and grow the hub. Apollo Projects are continuing to employ their extensive employment of dust control measures to reduce dirt and dust being spread from the construction site, though it didn’t appear that these measures could keep the bad weather and snow away!
We are now working to put together our usage plan for the Indoor Centre and an Expression of Interest is due to be released to all interested parties in the next week or two.
Transition Lead, Robbie Harlow is looking forward to being able to share further images as construction starts to take place.
