At CNC, our responsibility is to grow a lifelong love of netball. Recognising fair play and good sports is a very important part of this mission.
The Freemasons Charity Spirit Award is a new programme. We are incredibly grateful for the support of Freemasons New Zealand in making sure that fair play and good sports are at the heart of the CNC experience.
When you SUBMIT your score on the CNC APP, remember you can rank your opponents with points on SPIRIT at the same time 👍
The Freemasons Spirit Fairy Award winner for each period (three total) will be a school or club that is demonstrating fair play, positive attitudes and awareness around the court 🥰
The winning team receives a set of netballs, thanks to Freemasons New Zealand!
Many of you know CNC member and U18 representative coach Lee McKenzie. Only a few of you, however, may recognise Lee in her new role as the Freemasons New Zealand SATURDAY SPIRIT FAIRY.
Every week, on a Saturday, you will see Lee reminding teams to use the CNC APP to provide feedback on their opponents’ SPIRIT – their approach to competition and attitude on the court.
Congratulations to Burnside High School, our inaugural Freemasons Spirit Fairy winning side.
