Thank you to the Hornby Netball Club who share with us profiles of families playing for their Club ...

Meet Mel, Mei, Eden and Makere. This is the first time all 4 family member have played for Hornby Netball Club.

The youngest, Makere, plays in the ANZ futureFERNS team the Comets which her older sister Mei coaches this year. This is Makere's first year playing for Hornby Netball Club. 

Mel - (and Mum!) plays in one of the club Social Teams. Mel has been playing with the same group of friends for the club since 2013 so this is her 5th year. Mel is manager this year of the Comets team and is help her daughter Mei with coaching. 

Mei -This is the first year she has coached a little team. She plays in our U16 team despite being only 15 this year. 

Mei started playing for HNC in 2014 in our second U13 team. Proving to be a real asset in any team she was placed in, she very soon made our top team but playing a year above her age.

This year she plays in the our U16 team, in the U17 Grade.

Eden this year is playing in our top U14 team and like her older sister is a real asset to the club as a player. This is Eden's second year with the club and a valuable player for her team. Eden has taken of the challenging job this year of Umpiring and is working through the Whistler programme at CNC.
