It's truly a space for everyone. Come along and make yourself at home. Relax and enjoy a wide variety of action and entertainment from 10am to 2pm on Centre Court - netball and much, much more! Check out action on all 10 brand new courts - korfball, gymnastics, volleyball, futsal, futureFerns, women's, men's and even Christchurch Netball's elite Premier competition.

You can learn about the new Walking Netball craze and the popular adapted game of No Limits Netball, brought to you by CNC and the Halberg Foundation.

You're invited to have a go at fun games and activities designed for all ages and activities. The atmosphere will be fizzing. After all, it's Opening Day and a moment we have all been waiting for. You'll be amongst the first to explore the 10 sprung wooden courts and up for some fabulous spot prizes.

Each showcase includes exhibition play for spectators to enjoy, and "have a go" opportunities on the adjoining court.

10am futureFerns and Nettabury showcase | CNC's Nettabury is an adapted version of the game for ages two to five.

10:30am Year 7/8 Netball showcase

11am No Limits Netball showcase, in partnership with the Halberg Foundation

11:30am U15 and Summer Netball showcase

Midday Walking Netball showcase

12:30pm Men's and Mixed Netball showcase

1pm Premier Competition Netball showcase

1:30pm All-star Exhibition Game - watch this space!

Through the event, Korfball Canterbury, Canterbury Volleyball Association, Futsal/Mainland Football and Delta Rhythmic Gymnastics will be on site, offering the chance to participate, spectate, have a go and learn more about the good friends of Christchurch Netball at Ngā Puna Wai. 

Opening Day is also a chance to visit with the Ngā Puna Wai community and learn about the benefits of mahi aroha to health and wellbeing. Volunteering time and energy offers awesome rewards, as you become a valued part of an active community.
