Our Team Effort | Facility Operations Lead Appointment


Please join us in welcoming Fabian Kulpe as the Netball Sports Centre’s Facility Operations Lead.

This newly created role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless delivery of both day-to-day operations and major events, further strengthening the Netball Sports Centre’s reputation as a hub for community sport and recreation. 

Fabian joins the team with a wealth of experience in operational leadership, facility management, and event coordination. His career includes time as General Manager at HireKING and, most recently, leading a national asset management business that supported clients across the hospitality and foodservice sectors. Fabian combines strategic leadership with strong interpersonal skills, ensuring effective engagement with staff, stakeholders, and community groups alike. 

“I’m excited to be joining the team in the newly created role of Facility Operations Lead, and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and supporting the important work happening across the facility,” says Fabian. “I’m passionate about creating environments where people feel confident, welcome, and well-supported, and I’m excited to bring that same energy into this next chapter.” 

As Facility Operations Lead, Fabian will oversee the smooth running of the Netball Sports Centre’s facilities and events, working closely with staff, partners, and community stakeholders. His leadership will be instrumental in delivering high-quality events and providing a first-class experience for all who engage with the Centre. Outside of work, Fabian enjoys his own sporting pursuits, further connecting him with the values and experiences of the community he serves. 

Christchurch Netball Centre is thrilled to welcome Fabian to the team and looks forward to the positive impact his knowledge and leadership will bring. His appointment reflects the organisation’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and community connection as it continues to grow its role as a leading sport and recreation facility in Te Waipounamu the South Island.
